|Description: This is for our client in Livermore.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Materials Support Coordinator is responsible for performing the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the distributing a steady flow of materials, parts, supplies and equipment to Manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase order or invoices.
•Sorts and stores materials according to predetermined inventory procedures.
•Maintains records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary
•Pulls material for Work Order kits and issues material to the Work Order in the system.
•Plans, tracks, and controls raw material inventories in order to ensure production schedules can be met.
•Manages material shortages report to ensure Manufacturing and Service continue operating.
•Prepares and maintains records of material movements such as Material Transfer Forms and/or MSOs.
•Performs weekly inventory cycle counts and annual physical counts.
•Performs daily backflush transactions for assemblies completed in manufacturing.
•May be required to assist shipping and receiving when required.
•Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must possess basic math skills, good verbal and written communications, and the ability to prioritize and work at a moderate pace in a physically demanding environment. Experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
